The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) electronically collects and maintains important information about international students and exchange visitors while in the U.S. Information collected includes biographical details, U.S. employer’s address, and U.S. home address. This system is managed by the Department of Homeland Security.
| It is a mandatory requirement of your program participation that you register your details in SEVIS.

Global Educational Concepts, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Southwestern/Great American, Inc. GEC was approved in February 2005 by the U.S. State Department to issue DS-2019 forms.
| Southwestern has worked with international students since 1986. The management of GEC is made up of primarily experienced Southwestern employees who are knowledgeable of the issues pertaining to J-1 visa regulations.
| We are located in Nashville, Tennessee and offer a Summer Work Experience Program for qualified students around the world to participate in work opportunities in the United States.
