Global Educational Concepts, Inc. was approved to be a J-1 designated sponsor in February 2005 by the US State Department.
We currently offer sponsorship for the J-1 Summer Work Travel and J-1 Internship exchange categories. The Summer Work Travel category offers a work based program for up to a maximum of 4 months during the student's official university summer break. The Internship category offers practical training within the field of study for up to a maximum of 12 months for university or recent graduates.
All students must have sufficient English language skills as well as be currently enrolled as a full-time university student with at least one semester completion. Students are pre-placed with Host Organizations before arriving in the United States. Host Organizations are screened and vetted as required by the U.S. State Department.
