How To Apply
There is no national health insurance in the United States, so private health insurance is required in the U.S.

The cost of your insurance is included in your program cost. If you wish to travel for 30 days after your work period has ended, please contact GEC to extend your insurance. (Not having insurance is a violation of SEVIS requirements and will result in the termination of your program.)

Insurance Benefits
There is a $100 one time deductible with a medical maximum coverage of $50,000 per occurrence. The coverage is for accidents and illnesses.

Your insurance policy will expire on the end date listed on your DS-2019 form.

Insurance Procedures
If you become sick or are in an accident, you should call the Seven Corners assistance number (1-800-335-0477) for a list of network providers in your area. Failure to see a network provider or follow pre-certification procedures may result in a reduction of your benefits. If you need assistance regarding your insurance please contact GEC or Seven Corners. You will be given specific insurance details of the policy at your GEC orientation.

It is important to read your insurance details BEFORE you need medical attention. Some limitations do apply.
