One of the founding principles of Global Educational Concepts, Inc. is that international understanding can most effectively be achieved through extensive person-to-person interactions. Our program provides foreign and American students the opportunity to work side-by-side. The students work together, and in doing so, learn how to work effectively within a culture to achieve common life and business goals.
| The Program provides students the opportunity to meet with thousands of Americans in their homes every summer, and in this relaxed environment learn more about America all the while exposing Americans with the opportunity to meet and interact with them providing the potential to dispel common stereotypes.
| The Program allows students to work in the U.S. for the duration of their program dates as listed on their DS2019 form. Participants can travel at the end of their program for up to a maximum of 30 days. Summer Work and Travel participants can only work and travel within the program dates and according to their country’s normal university summer vacation dates. Students must not miss exams or classes. In general, there are three different seasons (Winter, Spring & Summer) when students are eligible to participate in the program.
